AWS E7018-G
Description and Applications

HE7018-G is an iron powder low hydrogen type electrode containing a large amount of iron powder in coating flux. Weld metal shows excellent mechanical properties, crack resistance, and X-ray quality. Weld ability is good and high welding efficiency could obtain.

Welding of 500N/mm2 high tensile strength steels for ships, steel constructions, bridges and pressure vessels.
　
Guideline in Usage
1.

Electrodes should be re-dried at 300 ∼ 350℃ for 60 minutes before use
2. Backstop method should be applies to prevent blowholes and pits at arc starting and arc length should be kept as short as possible during welding.
