Description and Applications |
HC55 is a graphite type electrode for repairing various
cast iron products. Ability to weld is excellent, the
beaded appearance is beautiful, and slag is easily
detached. As the coefficient of thermal expansion of the
weld metal is about the same as that of cast iron, weld
metal is easily machined, and the mechanical properties
and crack resistibility of the weld metal are good. |
|
Guideline in Usage
|
1. |
Remove
dirt from the weld metal. |
2. |
Deposit
short run and give hot peening at each bead. |
3. |
The
length of one bead should be about 50 mm maximum
to prevent overheating, distortion and cracking.
Stringer welding is recommended. |
4. |
Electrode should be re-dried at 80∼120℃ for 60
minutes before use. |
